Terms of Service

By using ReverseGram, you agree to the following terms. The German text prevails if translations differ.

You are at least 16 years old.
You are responsible for all content you publish.
Illegal, offensive, discriminatory, violent, pornographic or misleading content is prohibited.
You retain the rights to your content but grant ReverseGram a limited licence to display it within the service.
ReverseGram may remove content or restrict accounts after review, with a statement of reasons (except where the law requires immediate action).
There is no claim to permanent availability of the app.
Usage is at your own risk.

By using the app, you agree to the full Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Violations can lead to immediate exclusion.

2. Subject and scope of services

ReverseGram is a free social networking app. The service is provided “as is”.

Posts (photos, videos, text, polls), Stories (24h), Veeds
Comments, likes, reposts, hashtags, location tagging
Direct messages (text, voice, media), follower/following, private accounts
Block and report, GIFs, stickers, music in stories
No payment functions, no subscription

3. Conclusion of contract

Registration constitutes your offer to use the service
Account activation constitutes acceptance by the provider
By using the app, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy
The checkbox consent during registration is required

4. User requirements

You must be at least 16 years old
You must provide complete and truthful information
One account per person; no bots or automated use
You must not have been previously banned

5. User obligations

No illegal, offensive, discriminatory, violent, pornographic or misleading content
No copyright infringement (music, images, texts of third parties)
Story music only from the licensed Jamendo catalogue in the app — no other music uploads
No harassment, hate speech or threats
Respect other users and the community
No circumvention of technical safeguards
You are responsible for keeping your password secure

6. Community guidelines (UGC)

Zero-tolerance policy

We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content: harassment, hate speech, nudity/sexual content, violence, illegal activities.

Moderation

Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours. Posts and accounts that violate our guidelines are removed; repeat offenders are banned.

Consequences

Violations can lead to content removal and account restrictions. You will receive a statement of reasons and may appeal, except where immediate action is legally required.

7. Licence to your content

You retain copyright in your content. By posting, you grant ReverseGram a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence, limited to operating the service (feed, stories, reposts, sharing). We do not sell your content. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account; technically required copies (e.g. existing reposts) may remain briefly.

8. Limitation of liability

We are fully liable for intent, gross negligence, death, personal injury, fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of guarantee
For slight negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage
We do not generally monitor user content in advance; hosting liability begins upon knowledge of illegal content
No claim to availability, error-free operation or specific functionality

9. Suspension, termination, account deletion

We may restrict accounts after review and will provide a statement of reasons; immediate action is reserved for illegal content or imminent harm
You may delete your account at any time in Settings
After deletion, data is deleted per our Privacy Policy
No right to restoration after deletion

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. You will be informed of material changes (in-app or by email). Substantial changes require a new in-app consent. Continued use alone is not treated as acceptance.

11. Final provisions

Applicable law: laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN CISG
Place of jurisdiction for merchants: Kassel; consumers keep their statutory forum
Severability: if any clause is invalid, the rest remains in effect
The Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines are part of this contract

12. Hosting and illegal content (DSA)

We host user content and do not generally monitor it in advance. After obtaining knowledge of illegal content we remove or disable access. Users and third parties can file a DSA Art. 16 notice. Affected users receive a statement of reasons (Art. 17) and may appeal (Art. 20) or use out-of-court dispute settlement (Art. 21).

13. Recommender systems (DSA Art. 27)

The For You feed uses engagement, recency and your interactions. Settings explain the main parameters and offer a less personalized order where technically available.

14. Music and copyright

Stories may only use tracks from the licensed Jamendo catalogue in the app. Uploading or attaching other music is forbidden. Copyright notices: e-mail info@reversegram.com or use the in-app report reason “intellectual property”. Internal appeals (DSA Art. 20) are available for six months after a restriction; we aim to decide within 14 days and give reasons.
