Two post types, one decision
Elsewhere, ephemeral content is a separate format in a separate place. On ReverseGram you pick the lifetime as you publish – and the one that expires runs in the same feed as everything else. Engagement only changes the order of the feed, never the lifetime.

Private whenever you want
Every post has its own visibility: public, friends only or only me. A private account additionally shows posts to approved followers only; private profiles are not served on the open web and are not indexed by search engines. You can block or mute individual accounts.
Reporting and moderation
Posts, comments and profiles can be reported in the app. Illegal content can additionally be submitted through the Digital Services Act notice form. What is allowed is set out in the community guidelines.

What is ReverseGram?
ReverseGram is a free social media app for photos, videos and text. You follow people, share posts, watch videos full screen and send direct messages. It runs in the browser and as an app for iOS and Android. Public posts and profiles are available at www.reversegram.com without an account.
Do my posts stay or disappear?
You decide when you create them. A regular post does not expire: it stays on your profile and at its link until you delete it or switch your account to private. If you choose story post instead, it disappears on its own after 24 hours. Regular post is the default.
The For You feed ranks by recency, your interactions and engagement. That changes the order, not the lifetime of a post.
What is a story post?
A post that disappears after 24 hours. Unlike a story it does not sit in the bar above the feed: it runs in the regular feed and on your profile like any other post, as a photo, video, text card or poll, with likes, comments and reposts. A ring next to the timestamp shows how much time is left.
Because a story post only has 24 hours, it gets top priority in the algorithm: it also appears in Discover and is distributed especially widely during its first hours. To keep that fair, the priority applies to at most three story posts running at the same time per account.
After 24 hours the post is deleted along with its comments – there is no archive. A story post also cannot be shared through a public link; without an account it is not readable.
Is ReverseGram free?
Yes. ReverseGram is free. Downloading from the App Store or Google Play and using it in the browser costs nothing.
Do I need an account to view posts?
Not for public posts and profiles. Every public post has its own web address following the pattern www.reversegram.com/p/{code} and opens without signing in. You need a free account to post, comment, follow and send direct messages.
How do I make my account private?
You can switch your account to private in the settings. After that only approved followers see your posts. Private accounts and their posts are not served on the web and are not indexed by search engines.
What are Veeds?
Veeds are video posts you scroll through full screen in portrait in a dedicated part of the app. Veeds are not a separate post type: the same video post also appears in the feed, and it does not expire unless you created it as a story post.
Who can see my posts?
You decide per post. Public is visible to everyone, including on the web without an account. Friends only limits the post to people you are mutually connected with. Only me shows it to nobody but you.
On top of that you can switch your whole account to private. Then only approved followers see your posts.
Which devices does ReverseGram support?
ReverseGram runs in the browser on desktop and mobile, as an app for iPhone and iPad via the App Store, and as an Android app via Google Play.
How do I report a post or an account?
Every post and profile has a report option in the app. Illegal content can additionally be submitted through the report illegal content form. The rules are set out in the community guidelines.
